Wed 28 Mar 2007 - ICT Hub National Conference (London)
This conference is for small and medium sized organisations that deliver services directly to people but need some encouragement and guidance in their use of technology. Workshops are designed for differing levels of knowledge of ICT and suitable for voluntary organisations at all stages. There are 50 free places available for small organisations.
Destination 2014 - Regional Consultation Events
The consultation on the document ‘Destination 2014’ will run until the end of March 2007 and regional consultation events have been organised in the new year for ChangeUp Consortia, other infrastructure organisations and other organisations with an interest in capacity building, for the sector to feed in their views. These events will also provide information and an excellent networking opportunity for local, sub regional and regional consortia members and interested infrastructure agencies.

Thur 7 Dec - Capacitybuilders and ChangeUp : Vision into Action - Destination 2014 (RAF Museum, North London 10.30 am to 2.30 pm)
At this event Capacitybuilders will set out how they intend to deliver on the ChangeUp vision of 2014 for a transformed voluntary and community sector and how they will work with the sector to draw up the strategy to achieve this vision.
This event will launch the consultation on the document ‘Destination 2014’ where Capacitybuilders will be asking for views from across the third sector, especially on the priorities it should adopt in meeting the vision and strategic objectives for 2014.
Ed Miliband, Minister for the Third Sector will be in attendance at the event and delivering a key note address to colleagues from across the sector. This will be followed with further detail on the 2014 strategic plans from Chris Pond - Capacitybuilders Chair and Simon Hebditch - Capacitybuilders Chief Executive. There will be time for a Q&A session before closing the official session at 1.30pm followed by a networking lunch until 2.30pm.

Tues 6 June - Workforce Hub Conference (London)
The conference on Workforce Development will look at ways of attracting,
retaining and supporting your workforce - staff, volunteers and trustees. Case studies will be presented by organisations already successfully developing their workforces.
There will be interactive presentations on employment law, recruitment, leadership, building skills, diversity and training for small organisations. The lunchtime knowledge cafe will be an opportunity to network and share ideas.
Thur 18 May - Local Area Agreements: Engaging communities, Birmingham
The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for stakeholders involved in the development of third phase Local Area Agreements (LAAs) to share their experiences and identify opportunities for collaboration on local priorities. The seminar will also consider how the voluntary and community sector's role in community engagement can contribute to a better understanding of local needs and an improved quality of life for local people.
Thur 6 April - Making Your Money Do More - a workshop for funders, London
A free half-day workshop for funders to explore ways in which they can help their money go further by supporting performance improvement in the organisations they fund.
This practical workshop is designed specifically for funders, both statutory and non-statutory. Kevin Ashby of the Big Lottery Fund and Catherine Roche of the Place2Be will give short presentations illustrating how performance improvement can be of value to both funder and funded organisation.
